Choose a group...Read Alliance, a model for success in Missouri
When fourth grade teacher Marsha Sander saw Read Alliance in action two years ago, she was compelled to bring Read to her school in Jackson, Missouri. With Sander's help, Read expanded its Midwest program in fall 2010, launching programs at four elementary schools in southeast Missouri.
Last year, Read brought 86 first-graders in Jackson up to grade-level reading or higher. On the heels of Read's success, there is talk of expanding to other elementary schools this fall.
