Tutor Responsibilities

Read Alliance is committed to providing all teen tutors with a positive work environment and ensuring the success of the young children we tutor. All volunteer and paid tutors adhere to the following guidelines:

• Submit all required paperwork
• Attend a 2.5 hour tutor training
• Arrive on-time on all scheduled tutoring days
• Communicate with site coordinators in the event that you cannot attend
• Report directly to teachers and site coordinators
• Maintain a professional and respectful relationship with lead tutors, fellow tutors, students, and school staff
• Implement the curriculum as trained
• Maintain confidentiality
• Maintain good academic standing
• Serve as a role model for children
