When Marielys Mejia walked into her interview with Read Alliance, it was her first interview of any kind. In 2001 she was a freshman at St. Jean Baptiste High School on Manhattan's Upper East Side when her school counselor approached her with the job opportunity.

READ donors impact children's lives every day by giving the gift of reading! Thanks to your support, READ provided 1,038 at-risk kindergarteners and first graders with critical reading intervention and employed 899 teens as tutors during fiscal year 2014.
